European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP)

La ECCP es un proyecto financiado por la Comisión Europea.  Mi organización ZENIT (Centro de Innovación y Tecnología de Renania del Norte-Westfalia) y de Clusterland Upper Austria han desarrollo la ECCP (European Cluster Collaboration Platform) y la administramos.
El interés europeo es que los clusters de Europa y del todo el mundo se puedan presentar y así facilitar la comunicación y la cooperación. La Comisión Europea ha hecho unos convenios especiales con algunos países, como Japón, India, Corea, pero también Brasil, donde la cooperación de clusters es una de los puntos de acción. Nosotros queremos una comunicación mundial entre los clusters.
Tenemos en la ECCP informaciones sobre eventos, noticias, buenas prácticas, mercado, biblioteca, etc. que podrían ser de interés para los clusters de RedLAC.
Hasta ahora hay mas de 1050 usuarios. Tenemos identificados más de 1450 clusters en la Unión Europea  y estos están todos en nuestra base de datos. De estos clusters una tercera parte ya tienen perfiles en la ECCP y cada día son mas.
Creo que la ECCP (www.clustercollaboration.eu) es una muy buena posibilidad para aumentar la visibilidad de los clusters de RedLAC en Europa y en el mundo. De momento hay unos pocos clusters de América Latina visibles en la ECCP. Me alegraría mucho, si podemos aumentar esta número mucho!
La Comisión Europea esta combinando su política de PyMEs y de clusters. El tópico nuevo es “SME internationalisation through clusters” y una via es la ECCP, así la ECCP será un pilar de la asistencia de la Comisión para clusters y PyMEs.

About ECCP

Cluster organisations in Europe have reached a certain stage of development at which they need innovative supporting structures for better performance.

The European Cluster Collaboration Platform has been established to fill this gap.

The platform within the framework of the European Cluster Excellence Initiative provides online quality information and networking support for cluster organisations and their members aiming to improve their performance and to increase their competitiveness through stimulation of international cooperation.

Cluster organisations are invited to use this online platform to discover new horizons of excellence and to explore opportunities of collaboration.

Mapping and profiling of cluster organisations

• Get an overview of the real European cluster landscape by countries/regions and/or sectors
• Have direct access to the profiles of the cluster organisations and therefore to the full information provided by them

Mapping and profiling of cluster members

• Check out for members landscape of registrated cluster organisations
• Search for members of registrated cluster organisations in a classified form

Establishing geographical, sectoral and thematic communities

• Share information (with the whole community or in groups) with the help of functions like news, events, fora, live chat, library, good practices, etc.
• Get engaged in community discussions

Finding new project ideas and financing sources

• Get information about current calls/tenders and post offers and requests for cooperation, expertise and support
• Interlink and use the services of the Enterprise Europe Network

Adding news/events/documents and getting information provided by users

• Place news and events related to cluster activities and fill the media library with documents and other media to share with the cluster community
• Obtain centralized structure information about European and international projects and programmes exclusively related to clusters engaging in virtual dialogue with other cluster actors on issues of general interest in the forum.
